Ultrasound & Echocardiogram Studies:

Abdominal Ultrasound

Abdominal ultrasound is a powerful, non-invasive tool that allows veterinarians to look beneath the surface and evaluate vital organs in real time. It helps detect internal changes, masses, fluid, and organ abnormalities that may not show up on routine exams or X-rays. By identifying concerns early and guiding accurate diagnoses, abdominal ultrasound plays a crucial role in creating timely treatment plans and protecting your pet’s long-term health.   Thoracic ultrasonography is an important, non-invasive diagnostic tool that allows veterinarians to evaluate the structures within the chest, including the heart, lungs, and surrounding tissues. It can help detect fluid accumulation, masses, inflammation, or changes in lung tissue that may not be visible on standard X-rays, especially in pets experiencing breathing difficulties or unexplained symptoms. This real-time imaging provides valuable insight that supports faster, more accurate diagnoses and treatment decisions. By identifying issues early, thoracic ultrasound plays a critical role in managing respiratory and cardiac conditions and improving outcomes for pets when every breath matters.

Echocardiogram

An animal echocardiogram is extremely important for assessing heart health in both dogs and cats. It provides a detailed, non-invasive look at the heart’s structure and function, including the chambers, valves, and blood flow. This diagnostic tool is crucial for detecting heart disease, congenital defects, valve disorders, and early signs of heart failure—often before pets show any visible symptoms. Early detection through echocardiography allows veterinarians to start treatments or management plans sooner, helping pets maintain quality of life and potentially extending their lifespan. For animals at risk of cardiac issues, this test is considered essential for proactive, preventive care.

Dr. Monti volunteered for months doing spay/neuters in Cuba, Mexico and Costa Rica.

When not scanning, Dr. Monti loves spending time traveling, baking and spending time home with her 6 cats.

Computed Tomography - CT Scans

Computed Tomography

We offer in-house CT (Computed Tomography) scans to our patients! This powerful diagnostic tool allows us to obtain highly detailed 3D images of internal structure. CT Scanning is sometimes the only way to diagnose a patient.

Enhances Diagnostic Accuracy

CT imaging enhances our diagnostic accuracy and helps us plan the most effective treatment options with greater confidence and precision.  Especially useful for complex dental, nasal, and orthopedic cases.
